I did a short workshop with Ryan Libre and here are my top 3 key learnings:
- Get as much done within the camera as possible. Ryan means to frame properly, but go beyond and set white balance according to the mood you desire.
- When taking the photo, remember to add enough context in the background for the viewers to be able to establish some references, comparisons, judgment and actually understand the image more easily.
- When framing the photo, remember to ask yourself: what do I need more of, and what do I need less of. this was a key learning. When asking myself the question I ended up retaking the photo from another angle to add more context, remove ‘dead’ space, get a better perspective.
